Sarah Lopez was born in Haverhill, MA and currently resides in Orange, MA. Sarah spent many summers traveling with her family, leading her to pursue her undergraduate degree in geography. While at Salem State, she traveled to Liberia on a peacebuilding mission and found her calling to become an educator. After graduating in 2014, Sarah relocated to Western Massachusetts where she has been a middle school teacher for the past 5 years. As an educator, she has felt empowered to be a role model for her students and wants them to know they are never too young to start pursuing their passions. Another passion of Sarah’s is social justice education, which is why she chose to attend Mount Holyoke College to obtain her Master of Arts in Teaching which she earned in 2018. Sarah loves pageantry because it allows her self-confidence to grow and to achieve the personal goals she has set for herself.
