Raised in Philadelphia, PA, and a graduate of Olney High School, I went on to attend several business schools and obtained degrees in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting. Furthering my education, I obtained a degree as an Information Technology Specialist and I am currently working on a certificate at Penn State University in Leadership Development. I continuously move towards accomplishing my education by taking a course every year. My goal is to increase my knowledge and to be an example to my grandchildren: if I can they can.
At the age of 21, I returned to high school and graduated. I worked as a gas station attendant to take care of my children and myself while attending business college. After graduating with a degree in business. I continued to work in retail and became a shop steward for Local 1776 (Retail Clerks Union), where I stayed for 20 years. In the year 2000 I made a career change and started my first position as an Office Manager and Executive Assistant. I also decide to perform as a vocalist and bander leader of my own group. I have enjoyed performing for weddings and large venues that hold from 5 to 50,000 guests. I have opened for great artists such as: The Stylistics, The Ojays, Vickie Winans and Avery Sunshine just to name a few. I was the opening act and band leader for McFadden & Whitehead for 7 years. Presently I am a band leader, actress, model, and work in Internal Audit as a Sr. Administrative Assistant at FMC Corporation.
In my community I am a passionate leader and role model. I have received several awards for my community services from the state and private sectors. I continue to dedicate myself to helping women improve their own self-awareness. I am devoted to sharing my vision that all of us are valuable. Thru social media, public speaking events, radio and interviews, I want to show women that as I rose from ashes, that it is their destiny to do the same. I want them to understand Domestic Violence is not LOVE. It is not normal or acceptable behavior. My favorite scripture that I use is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
As a Domestic Violence Survivor for over 40 years, I made a decision to enter pageants to build my self-esteem and to show other women they can change their destinies. They can accomplish anything that they set their minds to doing.
In my spare time, I enjoy photography, motivational speaking, singing, and hosting my Annual Pink Diamond Ball along with my remaining sisters, in Memory of Teal D. Reynolds.
I am a proud mother of three wonderful children and three grandchildren that are the loves of my life. I still reside in Philadelphia, PA. and I have the joy of taking care of my rescued, German Shepard, Juice.
