"I became interested in pageants at a young age, although I never thought they were for someone like me. I loved to watch them in their mesmerizing gowns and sparkling smiles and was just so inspired by the strong women that graced the stage. When I looked in the mirror, I didn't see a queen, I saw a dorky band nerd that liked to go out and play in the dirt and play softball. But now I am inspired to put myself out there and prove to the young girls that are like me, that no matter who they are, they can be royalty. I now see myself as a smart, confident, and hard-working young woman, thanks to my recent involvement in pageantry. I started competing because I saw in those women who I wanted to be and how I wanted to view myself."
A couple fun facts about Nina is that she is a classically trained musician, and owns her own portrait photography business
