On April 30, 2017 Megan was crowned Ms. Woman Florida United States. This was Megan's third time vying for the crown as she represented Southwest Florida. "I really wanted this because I knew it would help me make a greater difference and when you really want something you don't give up on it," she shares.

Megan holds a master's degree from the University of Florida and specializes in social media and digital marketing. In 2015, Megan established Queen Bee Social where she consults with individuals and businesses to develop specialized digital marketing plans for their audience and needs. In addition, Megan also works for a local non-profit organization that has a strong tradition in the Southwest Florida community.

When Megan was 21, she was diagnosed with a very rare heart arrhythmia which needed surgery to correct. Her passion for heart health is fueled by her own personal experience and she is a strong advocate for Go Red For Women. "It was the scariest time in my life because you have one heart so it is so important that it functions correctly. I do not want anyone else to go through what I did in hearing the news that there's something wrong with their heart," Megan explains.
