I was inspired to do my first pageant at the encouragement of a friend, and I decided to participate because I thought that it would be helpful for gaining confidence in being in front of crowds, and with public speaking. I have often had positions in my professional career where I’ve needed to do public speaking and it’s something that has been challenging for me, so this was my way of working to beat those fears.
Competing in pageants has been very empowering, and it inspired me to start my business to work with women and girls on developing their personal brands so that they can learn to stand out as pageant contestants. My background is in marketing, education, and teaching, so this has been a great way to combine my work life and pageant life.
I'm grateful for everything that pageantry has brought into my life, and the relationships that I've made through it.
