Kelsey Janser is Miss Georgia U.S. Supranational 2016!
I suffered a traumatic brain injury in high school that was so severe I could barely read. Previously I had been a varsity athlete and had to give up sports as I slowly began to recover. On a whim I entered a local pageant my Senior year of high school and was so blessed to be named the winner. Participating in pageantry has allowed me to strengthen my interviewing techniques, improve my poise and speaking skills and develop wonderful friendships with some amazing girls. It has also allowed me to promote my platform "Heads Up, Concussions Out" which focuses on sports safety in youth athletics. Volunteering is very important to me and I have invested more than 1,500 hours in my community and my leading project is with Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital where I was once a patient. I'm currently a Dean's List Scholar at Vanderbilt University where I have my own radio show and am a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. I was recently crowned Miss Georgia U.S. Supranational and will compete in their national pageant, Miss U.S. Supranational in June.
