Karen Gosal is raised in the heart of White Rock, British Columbia. The eighteen-year-old lives with her family and friends and works harder each day towards blossoming into a better individual.
“Lose your heart to the planet, not the planet itself…” is a phrase Karen lives by. Karen is an avid environmentalist and hosted and participated in the environmental club at her school were the essential focus was to protect marine life and to study water chemistry and develop solutions. She believes that we must conserve the oceans and the beauty of the planet.
In her spare time, Karen appeals to her admiration for art oil painting. She frequently visits art galleries and has even travelled to Italy for insight as to how art impacts people and connects a community. Karen has a passion for travelling and having an insight into other cultures. Not only that but she is highly immersed in Cheerleading, tennis, horseback riding and has even made it to Volleyball Nationals. To relax, Karen enjoys reading books, baking and listening to classical music. She appreciates spending time with friends and family and is truly blessed to have this amazing opportunity to showcase the caring person they helped her come.
She is a proud Canadian who desires to honour her country by representing them at Miss Universe.
Not only that but she believes to preserve the beauty of humanity. Karen was always drawn to helping others, therefore, she decided to help those in her community. She started volunteering at a church and childminding and helped at her mothers Animal Clinic very prematurely. She later had a devotion for helping children with disabilities at Pacific Riding for Developing Abilities. This is where she learned to strive for the full potential of children who had limitations. The benefit of the experience was able to gain knowledge in different conditions, treatments and therapeutic benefits which aids her insight into the diversity of all people. She hopes to apply these skills in the field of teaching in the aspect of having a well-developed understanding of disabilities and having an understanding of limitations and treatments in prospect to motivate and inspire children. She hopes to travel and to help children in poverty, then becoming a teacher to mentor children. Before she accomplishes this goal, Karen is recruited to study and research Dolphins in Spain for the month of September. For this reason, Karen is enrolled at TWU university in the winter to study sciences to show children that science can be fun and it opens many doors to help improve the world and may not be just textbook work, but the world around us. Therefore, she is thrilled not only to be accepted into this particular department as well as sharing her vision for a better world.
To Karen, love is the biggest blessing we are gifted in our lives, hence she is motivated to radiate compassion and advocate its importance to future generations
