I'm dancer (aka Toro Girl) at California State University Dominguez Hills majoring in Business Administration with a Concentration in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Music. I have a huge love for the arts specifically music and dance. With my degree I hope to make a name for myself as a performer and as a successful business woman with my own record label, dance studio and or entertainment group. Aside from my professional development, I'm an adventurous soul who's always looking to create new memories and seize the moment of a great time!

Why start competing in pageants

My pageantry journey started with a small school spirit competition at my high school. It was a tradition that the theater department put on every year to determine who had the best school spirit. There were two competitions: "Mr. GQ" (for the males) and "Miss Condor Pride" (for the females). Each club, academic program, sports team etc. sent a representative to compete for these notable titles on campus. Both competitions functioned like a pageant with an opening statement, talent and evening gown portion, and judges who determined the winner of the overall competition. I participated in the Miss Condor Pride contest my junior and senior of high school and placed 2nd both times I competed. It was in those very moments that I realized I had an undiscovered love for a different kind stage: pageantry. Even though this was just a silly high school competition/memory, I figured "if I can prove that I'm strong contender for a school spirit title, imagine what I could do in an actual pageant". I researched organizations that I felt were best suited for me and after careful consideration and strategic planning, I competed in my 1st pageant. Although I didn't receive the outcome I was hoping to accomplish, I picked my myself up from the defeat that I felt and started to embark on my research and planning for my next pageant. As I continue to pursue this endeavor, I hope my new profound love for pageantry enables me to keep exploring all the great attributes that make me who I am and continue to share those attributes with those who surround me.
