Miss All-Star United States 2015, Holly Cogar, has based her success in pageantry on a foundation of kindness. Before her journey to the crown, Holly was nothing short of service-oriented, and the Miss All-Star United States Pageant Organization fostered her heart for service by supporting her platform “Fun for the Fight”. Holly began volunteering in hospitals with the Pediatric Entertainment Program then expanded upon her volunteerism individually by doing activities such as planting flowers with the patients, visiting as different princesses, and collecting donations for hospitals and family houses. Today, Holly strives to bring games and activities to children’s hospitals, so they can forget about the illnesses and injuries they are facing by bringing fun to their fight! As a result, Holly has seen countless children show acts of selflessness by donating their personal toys for “kids like them” after persevering through their own battles. These are the moments that inspire her to continue bringing fun children in her professional life as a speech-language pathologist after graduating from West Virginia University. Holly would encourage you to get involved in your local children’s hospitals and family houses because she’s a firm believer that bringing fun can bring healing!
