My name is Heather Bemis and I am competing for the title of Miss Richmond/Miss Historic Daniel Boone 2020.

As Miss Northern Kentucky, I will work with the Court Appointed Special Advocates Program (C.A.S.A.) of Bracken, Fleming, and Mason Counties to continue advocating for abused and neglected children in Kentucky. I have always had a passion for being an advocate for others. Last year I became a Court Appointed Special Advocate to advocate for abused and neglected children in Kentucky. Since then I have closed one case, and am currently working on my second case. As a C.A.S.A, I advocate for abused and neglected and speak on behalf of children who are victims of dependency, abuse, and neglect.
Every year more than 500,000 children are in need of safe and permanent homes and need someone to be their voice. As Miss Northern Kentucky, I will use my platform to fundraise, spread awareness of the importance of C.A.S.A., and encourage others to become volunteers.
