As a Haitian Immigrant, I witness self-hate in my community, especially in young people. Young Haitian students get bullied a lot by other students in schools for the simple fact that they are from another country. This constant bullying caused Haitian kids to not be themselves and hide who they are to fit in with everybody else. I want to make sure that the Haitian youth know that they are great just the way they are and they don't have to change anything just to fit in. I will do that by creating organizations that teach young Haitians about their history and their culture. Teach them to love who they are and where they come from because it is a part of themselves that they cannot change. If they know how beautiful and powerful they are then they won't be as affected with the ignorance around them but instead, they can educate others.

One thing that I am very passionate about is always shining a positive light on my country Haiti. There are so many negative stigmas on Haiti and I always wanted to be that person to shine a light on the positive and find solutions to solve the negative. I believe that pageants give me the opportunity to do exactly that. I remember when I was younger watching competitions like Ms. Universe where young women all around the world showing off their culture and such a beautiful way and this is what want to do. I want to share the beautiful history of my country and show off our beautiful culture.
