Why start competing in pageants

In college I found that I could use pageantry as a platform to get my message out to others. I was able to inspire people, which was a beautiful gift. I chose to compete in the Miss USA platform this year because of their dedication of beauty and power within women. I have been able to spread my campaign #beautieswithbrains that celebrates women in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) industry. The goal of the campaign is to inspire young women to pursue careers in STEM and celebrate diversity and inclusion within STEM industries.
