Carleigh is a 13 year old 8th grader from Oklahoma. She is a fun-loving country girl and loves all things country. She loves spending time outside with her horses, driving her Dad’s tractor, picking wildflowers in the pasture, and picking berries in the orchard with her grandmother.
Carleigh is an amazing dancer and loves the opportunity to entertain. She has danced since the age of 4. She has taken classes in Lyrical, Ballet, Pom, Hip Hop, Tap, Jazz and Hawaiian/Tahitian. Her dance experience came in very beneficial with her recent selection to the 8th grade Junior High Cheer Squad. She cannot wait to begin cheering for her school and sharing her school spirit.
In addition to her extracurricular activities, Carleigh has been selected to the National Junior Honor Society, and as a new WEB Leader for her school. She was thrilled at the selection to be WEB Leader, which stands for “Where Everyone Belongs.” It is very important for her to share with others that we are all different but, that we all belong. We each have unique talents, traits and gifts that makes us all important and special.
Carleigh raised enough money to purchase 2,500 silicon wristbands to share with her entire Junior High, and to hand out at appearances and volunteer events. Carleigh is very determined to raise awareness to bullying and has coined the phrase, “BRAVE + COURAGEOUS = BraveRageous! Help Stop Bullying!” which is embossed on the wristbands. She is encouraging to those that have been bullied, as she was once bullied herself. Carleigh feels it is important to teach others to be kind, and that kindness will always come back full-circle. She is passionate about showing kindness to others and volunteering her time in her community.
