My name is Bar-Lee Klein I’m a freshman at Concordia university studying Secondary Education. My original reason for competing was to show that queens come in all different shapes and sizes! And that you have to love yourself because there is no one else but you. Shortly after starting to compete in pageants in eighth grade I became an aunt and was given the opportunity to raise awareness towards the Hunter’s Syndrome. A rare genetic disorder that is life limiting and very serious! Two of my three nephews were born with this disease and they became the reason for competing. The reason this is so important to me because my nephews live it everyday and it’s not easy for he families that go through this. My main goal with my current title is to raise awareness and money for the families in need.
