Blessed to be born in raised in North Carolina, I headed down to South Carolina at the age of 17 to pursue my degree in Communications, with a media focus, at Furman University. Only 3 months into my college career, I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury in a freak accident, which left me stuck in a hospital for weeks, on a long road to recovery which took over a year. Although it rocked my world, so many lessons were learned and a great ambition was formed. I went on to work for a Presidential Candidate, take on leadership positions at my school, work for politicians I never thought I could, and have jumped after every opportunity I can get my hands on...which leads me to my inner pageant girl. Two weeks before Miss North Carolina International, I signed up. With minimal pageant experience and only one prior competition under my belt, I made the decision to compete and WON. I am now serving as your Miss North Carolina International, working to serve my state, all while balancing a communications career, a sweet puppy child, a healthy obsession with politics, and this crazy life of mine!
