Alaina Walker is the former NAM Miss Louisiana PreTeen 2016!
When I was six years old, I was really shy. My parents received a letter in the mail from National American Miss for me to attend an open call. I'm really happy that I attended and started my journey with NAM because I'm 12 now and it's made a big difference in my life! I've learned so much and have met some of my best friends through pageantry!
At first I started competing to build my confidence. My first year as a Princess, I won first runner and I was so excited because I didn't know anything about pageants. Over the next few years, I was determined to work hard and reach my goal of winning a title with National American Miss. Because of NAM, I learned to set goals to achieve my dreams! And after six years of competing, I won my state's PreTeen title this year and will compete at Nationals as a state Queen! I'm really happy to have this honor because I want other girls to know they can do this as well! It may take awhile but it is so worth it when your hard work pays off!
I used my reign to promote my platform, The Military Binder, which is a program I started to support our troops through art. I will also continue encouraging other girls and inspiring them to be confident and to do things that will change the world!
