I competed in my first pageant when I was 6 months old. I won my first state title at 11 months, and overall before I was 2. I love pageants for many reasons. I love getting onstage and rocking the runway, or performing a talent. Interview is awesome. The judges are so nice and I love sharing information about myself with them. I began my own charity when I was 4 years old. I won the USA National Miss NY Jr. Princess title and decided I wanted to be involved with something that was "kid" related, but that I also cared about. I have donated over 500 new books to the Golisano Children's Hospital, so that the children who are being treated there have books available to read or have them read to them at night. I love my bedtime stories and I think all children should be able to have stories read to them at bedtime. My favorite part about pageantry is the friendships that I make. I have been so blessed to have the best sister queens this year. Super 6 of 2016. I gained big sisters. I can't imagine my life without them. Pageants are so much more than just wearing a sash and a crown. It's what you put into wearing the crown that counts. Ms. Jackie Watson, my director ( aka...Wonder Woman) has offered so many fantastic opportunities this year. She truly loves and cares for all her girls. I would like people to know that you gain confidence, self-assurance, friendships and a sense of community. You become part of something much larger than yourself. Remember to Sparkle and Shine, but it comes from within.
