Andrea Jones currently holds the title of Mrs. Tippah County United States. She will be competing for the Mrs. Mississippi United States title in March 2019. She had been married to her husband Keith for 6 years. They have an 8 month old baby girl and her name is Winry. Winry was born on their 14 year dating anniversary instead of the next day when they were going to be induced (so perfect). They have a girl cat named Fred (don't ask haha), a dog named Ruby, and a dog named Rusty. All were strays that came to them for help. They even got to bottle feed Fred since she couldn't eat when she first came to them. That cat loved her kitten formula! They are very big animal lovers. Andrea has been competing in pageants for 25 years and has owned her own pageant store for 5 years. Andrea has a Masters Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Reading/Language Arts. She is also certified to teach through 12th grade English and General Science. Andrea has taught Kindergarten for 7 years. Andrea's platform is Pursuing Reading Readiness (PRR). "Literacy is so important and I found that many students were lacking foundational skills when they came to school. Some had never been read to and some didn't even have a book at home. I found that many parents didn't know how to help their children. I decided to create PRR-Pursuing Reading Readiness." Within PRR Andrea educates parents on important reading skills, she tutors, visit schools, reads to children, donates books, and has started a free monthly book club.

Why start competing in pageants

I started competing in pageants when I was 7 years old. I had a teacher tell my mom that I should be in pageants. I was so extremely shy and anxious, but I loved all things pageantry and asked my parents if I could give it a try. I couldn't even speak to others, but I could smile. I smiled for everything and pageants seemed like a perfect fit for me. After years of competing you would never know that I was shy as a child. People that knew me when I was young can't even believe I'm the same person. Fast forward 25 years and I can interview and speak onstage with the best. Pageants have helped me in every aspect of my life...pursuing my career and education, making lifelong friends, helping others through charity work, starting my platform, helping others achieve their pageant goals, etc. I love pageantry so much that I even opened my own pageant store so that I could be emerged in the world of pageantry everyday.
