This pageant is my absolute favorite. The way that this pageant is run, is to help the contestants feel respected and confident. Everyone involved in it, watching, a part of the crew, or contestants is always treated like a queen. Everything about this pageant is absolutely outstanding from the sets, to the contestants, to the entertainment. I cannot wait to see next years!
This U.S. Continental Pageant is absolutely the best that I’ve seen. It runs so smoothly, the entertainment is awesome and I absolutely love how it empowers women to feel confident and beautiful inside and out. I’ve been watching this one for many year. LOVE IT!!!????
I have been with the US Continental system since 2005. The pageant is a family oriented run pageant. Mrs Barbara has years of experience and makes you feel like family. Willing to help with any questions you have. I am a former Ms Florida USC and will compete again this year in the MS Elite division. I can't wait for June to see my sister Queens that I have established great friendships with. Highly recommend.
I have been competing in pageants since 1988 and when I found the US Continental Pageant in 2007 I felt I had finally found a pageant family! In the 2007, I placed 2nd runner up and knew that I wanted to come back! In 2008 there was not a national pageant held, but I was allowed to continue my state reign until the 2009 national where I won the title of Ms. US Continental! I have since gone on to compete in the Mrs. Division where I continued to feel as a part of the family. John and Barabra Show more

John and Barabra Lugo, with their 27 years of directing knowledge, have always given every queen, local, regional and state, their professional and honest support to assist in propelling them to win the national. If a queen has had to have "allowances" made for medical or physical reasons, they have been worked in the walking and dance patterns. In 2020, I was blessed to join the directing team of the US Continental Pageant and I have never regrated my decision. I cannot wait to meet the ladies this year and have a smooth running of the pageant as we have a strong non-argumentative team of state, regional and national directors and stage directors.Show less
Love this pageant system...especially now since some of the past organizers have left the system. I have competed at the US Continental Pageant for the last 3 years. I was there last year and I am competing again in June. Come and try this pageant for yourself and form your own opinion.
I've been competing in pageants since I was 11 years old. In that time, I've had my fair share of good and bad experiences. However, I can say without hesitation that the US Continental Pageant is arguably the worst pageant I have ever participated in. This is not sour grapes speaking, either. I won. I'm the reigning Ms. US Continental 2021. Not only is this a badly run pageant, the people who run it - in my humble opinion - are actually worse than the pageant itself. The owner of the pageant, John Lugo, as well as other men, including his son Armani, entered the dressing room repeatedly, and unannounced, while we were naked. Despite being yelled at by other contestants about coming in the dressing room, he continued to come in and survey the room. WE WERE NAKED. I am still considering pressing voyeurism charges. John also told me and another contestant that he wanted to come visit us in our home state and not tell our director, he touched me without my permission and invaded my personal space the entire weekend. If you plan to compete in this pageant, demand that John Lugo be banned from any and all events and activities during pageant weekend during which he could come into contact with you - including the pageant itself and on-stage question...because if you refused to hold his hand on stage, he gripped your wrist. I have photographic evidence to support this. Good luck and God bless! Yes, there are numerous witnesses who can testify to the truthfulness of this review.Show less
In 2018 I competed in the US Continental pageant and had a wonderful time, I was treated like a queen, from the second I arrived my western states director came to my room with a gift bag, to check in, and answer any questions. We had outings planned, a beautiful hotel, dinner and photo ops out on the town, and we knew where we were supposed to be and what was going on at all times. I placed 1st runner up and was so excited to come back the next year to compete again. Do to life and Covid I was unable to compete again until 2021 and with the new Elite division I was super excited to go back to compete. Boy was I wrong! We arrived and there was nothing planned until orientation that night, it was in the hotel lobby and after we were left to fend for ourselves. I was approached by one of the owners of the pageant who told me he didn't like my hair color, that he liked it better blonde and didn't I know that western states girls were supposed to be blonde. This really set the tone for the weekend and made me feel ugly and like I didn't want to be there anymore. The next day we were to fend for ourselves again bit we were supposed to go downtown and walk around with our sashes on and take pictures. After we were overheated from the Florida sun we had to go back to the hotel and get ready for interviews. Then we were on our own again. The next day we were supposed to be at the theater at 10am. We stood around for 4 hours waiting for them to get the stage and sound ready and for the entertainment to have mic checks. We finally got to rehearsals and with not everyone on stage due to poor planning on the makeup schedule we had to teach them the moves as the focus was on the entertainment and mc. We got to the show and we were changing (we were naked) and John Lugo, the owner of the pageant, as well as several other men, including Armani Lugo, were walking in backstage without announcing themselves. John came back more than others and just hung out while we were changing. Surveying the room. At one point, I yelled "I'm naked here!" With no apologies, the show was unorganized, we were an after thought and this is a fairly expensive pageant, it felt thrown together last minute, it was definitely not the same pageant. The main difference? My western states director was not there to make it run smoothly, due to a medical emergency. It was abundantly clear she was the glue that held it all together. I'm so disappointed and will never do this pageant again.Show less
I have been part of several Mrs. systems and this one tops all of them! It's about the total package, not just one or two elements! This system is a board of directors, not just one person. The scoring is easy, simple, and straightforward. Less expensive, less stress and pressure! It's a weekend full of fun that you can share with your family & friends! Great price package and lots of opportunities to work that crown & sash! Hands-on and helpful group of amazing people that want to help you grow Show more
