The Miss American Achievement Pageants is dedicated to developing
self-esteem, interview skills and talent presentation skills among young ladies. We reward academic excellence, community leadership and exceptional talent with cash and scholarships. This program was created to allow each contestant to make lasting friends, develop self-confidence, and an appreciation for creative expression. Miss American Achievement Lil' Princess, Princess, PreTeen, Jr Teen, Teen Achieve and Miss, emulates leadership, compassion, and dedication in all she does- those qualities important to being an excellent citizen of our Great Nation.
5 Phases of Competition
Personal Interview: The personal interview is a three-minute round robin interview with each judge (3-5 judges). Jr. Teen, Teen Achieve & Miss Divisions will have a personal panel interview, five minutes in length, discussing their application. There will be no current event or political questions.
Platform Passion: All delegates will decorate their table with information about their chosen platform/ community project. They will speak for 1-3 minutes, introducing themselves, their platform issue and what they will do during their year of service as Miss American Achievement.
Creative Expression: Each delegate will present a speech entitled 'What Makes a Leader in America Today' or on her chosen Platform Passion OR an Arts Presentation of her choice. This can include an exhibition of artwork, photography, or writing as well as any performing art (vocal performance, dance, dramatic presentation, or musical instrument). Each delegate will be judged on her ability and effectiveness while speaking/performing, self-confidence, personality and overall presentation. Props are allowed. There is 3 Minute Time limit and points will be deducted past 3 minutes.
Fitness Fashion: This competition will be scored on physical fitness and personality while modeling a sports outfit of the delegates' choice (tennis dress, cheer uniform, any sports outfit, yoga, etc.) Props are allowed. There is NO swimsuit competition.
Formal Wear: Delegates will model a floor length gown of their choice. Each delegate will be judged on her grace and poise while walking in a formal gown, along with the fit, flatter, personality, self-confidence, and overall presentation.
