Miss World 2000 was the 50th anniversary celebration of the Miss World pageant held on November 30, 2000 at the Millennium Dome in London, England. Part of the beauty pageant was also filmed in the Maldives.
At the end of the event, India's Yukta Mukhei elected India's Priyanka Chopra as Miss World 2000. She is the fifth Miss World and two consecutive winners from her home country. Internationally, Chopra reigns alongside Miss Universe 2000 titleholder Lara Dutta, the first time a country has held two of the world's most prestigious beauty pageant titles in a single year. As of 2023) it was the last.
The pageant was the first since the death of pageant owner Eric Morley, whose widow, Julia Morley, was responsible for the event. The contest had 95 entries, the most entries for Miss World at the time.
