Miss Jasmine is an absolute pleasure to work with. She created a system that works on service to others which is no surprise as she truly has a servants heart. She shows everyone around her what it means to take care of others and builds this system around this. I am the current Miss Maine Young American Woman of Service and could not be more pleased with the opportunity that I have had to serve with such an amazing and supportive group of women.
Miss Jasmine does an incredible job running an amazing pageant every year. Having attended an AWOS State Pageant and having Miss Jasmine as I local director, I can't say enough great things.
National Director, Jasmine DeRier, has done outstanding work with this pageant system, creating a wonderful sisterhood of incredible women making a difference in their communities.
As one of the first contestants to enter this pageant, I can tell you that I love it already! I love that is promotes community service, helping women be a better them. Helping women continue to be excellent role models for young girls and women across the state and country. I love that it promotes bullying prevention. I am honored to be apart of this system while it is in its baby steps, and can't wait to watch it grow over the next several years. I continue to watch the amazing things the states and soon to be national titleholders have accomplished. Another thing about the pageant, is process of scoring during the competition. Each contestant is asked to pick from one of the optionals that will go towards their over score. It's a great way to get a well rounded women as a national titleholder!
American Women of Service is all about community and civic engagement, and has a strong focus on anti-bullying awareness. It is a new pageant, but it well organized and has a great group of women behind it, as well as participating in it. I'm really looking forward to being a contestant this June and I highly recommend others to join in on the fun.
I am Andrea Perreault, Mrs. Maine American Women of Service 2017 and will be competing in the Mrs. American Woman of Service this coming June in Dedham/Boston area. I am proud to represent the great State of Maine in this up and coming prestigious pageant. So far with the planning and organizing the pageant, Director Jasmine DeRire has been on top of things. Very organized in every aspect of the information, details are on point and is rubbing shoulders with the one and only Marc Defang for a sponsorship on some amazing American Flag shoes for the opening number. She knows how to make the contestants feel glamorous even before the pageant begins. With her pageant experience under her belt she knows how to organize a National Pageant. Along with directing she is implementing the National Platform The CROWN C.A.R.E.S . Creating a Respectful Environment in Schools, this is an Anti - Bullying program that really tugs on my heart strings. As a parent I want to educate not only my daughter but young children in our school systems about bullying since I am speaking from my own experience as a young kid. I would like to help and educate those to stand up for what they believe in! This is a great opportunity to spread the word about the National Platform. I am looking forward to this new National Pageant, it's already very promising!!!
AWOS is a great new addition to the pageant world! We are looking forward to meeting everyone this summer :)
