BECOMING A CONTESTANT

Delegates may be selected through a state pageant or through application. You will represent your state or country at Universal World International competition November 23-26, 2017, Romulus, Michigan.

CONTESTANTS ELIGIBILITY

MRS. CONTESTANTS (Ages 25 & over)
Must be at least 25 years of age and older on NOVEMBER 1, 2017

MS. CONTESTANTS (Ages 30 & over)
Must be at least 30 years of age and older on NOVEMBER 1, 2017

MISS CONTESTANTS (Ages 20-29)
Must be at least 20 and no older than 29 years of age on NOVEMBER 1, 2017

MISS TEEN CONTESTANTS (Ages 16-19)
Must be at least 16 and no older than 19 years of age on NOVEMBER 1, 2017

JR. MISS CONTESTANTS (Ages 13-15)
Must be at least 13 and no older than 15 years of age on NOVEMBER 1, 2017

Is Previous Pageant Experience Required?
No pageant experience is required! All young ladies have the opportunity and capability to do well regardless of their past pageant experience. This is a known fact, most are newcomers have won numerous titles, and make wonderful contestants and terrific state and International winners.

How do I apply to become a delegate?
All contestants must submit a International application to qualify for their state pageant or for consideration for an appointed state title. A representative will reply within 48 hours.

When is the last day to apply for an appointed title?
The last day to apply is October 1, 2017. We strongly encourage you to apply as soon as possible to be able to plan accordingly for the international pageant being held November 23-26, 2017.

Is There a Height or Weight Requirement to win?
Absolutely not. UNIVERSAL WORLD PAGEANT., while a glamorous event, does not have a height or weight requirement. Whether your 5' 2 or 6 feet tall, it doesn't matter. What's important is how the delegate views herself from the inside and out. There will be a variety of heights and body types that will grace the stage on pageant weekend. A young woman that is confident, intelligent, personable, and attractive with poise and grace will be what the judges are looking for.

What do the national winners receive?
Each winner receives international travel opportunities, gifts from sponsors such as apparel, jewelry, photography and more. .

Is there a talent portion of the competition?
No, there is no performing talent required.

Is there a swimwear portion of the competition?
Yes, the Mrs., Ms., Miss, divisions include swimwear. the swimwear competition allows a young woman to strive for great health and positive energy, with scoring based on health, fitness and modeling skills.

Is there a fitness portion of the competition?
Yes, the Jr. Teen divisions include fitness wear. the fitness wear competition allows a young ladies to strive for great health and positive energy, with scoring based on health, fitness and modeling skills.

Are there any height or weight requirements to compete in the pageant?
Absolutely not! Each contestant in our pageant is an individual and the judges are looking for body proportion, personality, and modeling/walking ability, not a specific body measurement.

Do I need to buy expensive clothing to compete in the pageant?
Absolutely not! It's not about the name or cost of your attire, we are looking for the well rounded, confident open minded young lady who exudes a sense of purpose. We are not looking for stereotypes!
