About Rose Court

A long-standing tradition of the Rose of New England’s history has been re-imagined. Today's Rose Court Competition is open to all genders while honoring tradition by demanding that candidates exemplify community pride, community involvement, intellect, and leadership. The winner of the Rose Court Competition will represent the Rose Arts Festival at city events.

The Rose Court Competition has phases of competition that include: submission of an essay on community pride, private interview, on-stage question, and evening gown.

In order to compete for a Rose Court title, you must live in within 15 miles of Norwich, Connecticut and be between the ages of 16 - 20.
