About Miss Supermodel Worldwide Netherlands

Miss Supermodel Worldwide Netherlands (#MSMWNL) is an initiative founded by national director and owner Leila Aigbedion, also known as presenter, model and former miss. Leila had started organizing miss supermodel worldwide Africa (MSMWAfrica). This miss election focuses on the development of young women with an African (diaspora) background.

For the past 3 years, Leila and the team (Claudia Nzeba) have been committed to organizing Miss Africa Netherlands, which was held annually (and sold out) at De Meerse theater in Hoofddorp. During the last 3 years, the team has been committed to raising awareness about missions, developing young women and exhibiting and celebrating African cultures. As of 2018, the team decided (#MSMWAfrica) to set up Miss supermodel worldwide Africa with the aim of growing and providing extra support to women in the fashion world.

Now they want to go one step further and give the whole of the Netherlands the opportunity to participate, since the Netherlands is a very multicultural country. Miss supermodel worldwide Netherlands is accessible for young women living in the Netherlands with a Dutch nationality, unmarried, no children, at least 18 years (or turning 18 for the final) up to 28 years.

The final of Miss Supermodel Worldwide Netherlands took place on February 29 of this year 2020 and we are happy that it turned out to be a great success.

During the process of the parade, 8 finalists trained hard for six months to prepare mentally and physically for the final. During these six months they received training sessions such as pitching, catwalk, psychology, offer camp and choreography of the entire show.

The show was presented by Leila Aigbedion, the brain behind this parade, and Jeremy Lensink. David Dam gave a spectacular performance, moving the audience with his voice and talent. And Luigiano Paals honored us with his voice during evening wear.

The audience was excited to see that one of the participants was big enough and confident and encouraged her during the competition.
