About Miss San Joaquin County Scholarship Competition

Welcome to
Miss San Joaquin County Scholarship Organization
An official local preliminary to the
Miss Caliifornia and Miss America comptetitions

The title of Miss San Joaquin County's Outstanding Teen is "local" preliminary to Miss California’s Outstanding Teen. Therefore, being named Miss San Joaquin County’s Outstanding Teen means you become an ambassadress of San Joaquin County and our Scholarship Organization throughout the year of your reign. Thus, this title requires: time, energy, commitment, and taking an active role in promoting the Program through your platform in your community.
The Open title does not require the same time commitment to San Joaquin County local events; however, several events and appearances are important to the organization and every effort should be made to participate. A list of these events will be provided prior to the competition.
To be eligible to compete for the title of Miss San Joaquin County’s Outstanding Teen, a young woman must:
Either reside or attend school in San Joaquin or Stanislaus Counties. The Miss Central California's Outstanding Teen competition is open to contestants residing or attending school in California.
Be a citizen of the United States at the commencement of the Local Competition and must remain such throughout her participation within the State Competition and, if selected as the State Representative, the National Competition
Be at least thirteen (13) years of age on the first day of the State Competition in which she competes; and must not be older than seventeen (17) years of age as of July 31 in the calendar year of the State Competition in which she competes, unless she is 18 years old and has not graduated from high school as of July 31 in the calendar year of the State Competition in which she competes. For the avoidance of doubt, 13- to 17-year-old high school graduates and non-graduates, as well as 18-year-old non-graduates as of July 31, must compete at MAOTeen level. A 12-yearold is eligible for MAOTeen local competitions if she will turn 13 on or before the first day of the State Competition in which she competes.
