About American Pageants Georgia

The Georgia State Preliminary for American Pageants, formerly known as the Miss Teen of America Scholarship and Recognition Pageant.

Email [email protected] for more information!

The Miss Teen of America Pageant was founded in 1983 by the late Mr. Warren Alexander, a former educator and pageant director. Rebranded in 2017 to include additional age divisions, the program is designed to help America’s youth reach their full potential.

This scholastically based pageant recognizes young women ages 7-26 for their outstanding personal achievements, leadership abilities, and artistic, creative or athletic talents. The American Pageants organization searches for complete well-rounded girls, which is accomplished through a well balanced and fair judging criteria.

Our unique judging criteria allows the judging panel to get a full picture of each candidate. The six (6) categories are as follows:
Personal Development of Talents & Skills Resume - 15%
Service & Achievements in School & Community Resume - 15%
Scholastic & Professional Record Resume - 15%
Personality Projection & Poise in Evening Wear - 20%
Judge's Interview - 30%
Personal Introduction - 5%
Bonus available for Junior, Teen and Miss contestants - General Awareness - 5%
