Finding the right swimsuit to wear is one of the hardest parts of the pageant competition for every girl. There is a lot of thought that goes into the swimsuits that we pick. We not only have to look at style and cut, but also color. The color of your swimsuit can make or break you in a competition. When getting your competition swimsuit, you should always choose a color that complements your skin tone. Finding the right color for your complexion is hard because most people aren’t familiar with the tone of their skin. Here are a few tips to help ease the stress of choosing the swimsuit color to best suit your complexion. First, you need to figure out if your skin is warm-toned or cool-toned.
What Skin Tone Color Are You?
To check if your skin undertones are warm or cool, first look at your veins. One good way to tell if you’re warm or cool is to check the color of your veins. If your veins on your wrist look blue, you have a cool skin tone. If your veins look green, your skin tone is warm. When you go out in the sun do you get a bright red sunburn or do you get a tan?
Those with cooler skin tones often burn rather than tan, while those with warmer skin tones usually get tan right away or get a tan once their sunburn subsides. Once you’ve figured out your complexion tone, it becomes time to figure out what colors work best for which tones.
Now you may be thinking that since you have already figured out what colors work best for your skin tone, you can easily find the perfect swimsuit with no problem! But there is one little detail that you should always take into consideration: swimsuit hardware.
